Her name is Jessie Duff. She is a world champion shooter. His name is Sean Hannity. He has a TV show.

Combined, the two bring us seven-plus minutes of gun-shooting, range-blasting goodness.

  1. This was a very eye-opening video about the so called AR-15 Assault rifle. People need to get informed about the misinformation out there. Just saying….

  2. The 12 gauge that is not banned is the one that done the most damage!
AR-15 didn't seem that powerful to me.

  3. The problem with the proposed bans are that the people that are trying to ban them have not used them much or at all. So they, in fact, are misinformed and are misleading others into believing their lies and deceit! I am an avid hunter and gun enthusiast and know what to expect from each caliber and the performance of each action. Many of these morons that are trying to ban these guns most likely couldn't even hold the weapon/ gun correctly!

    • Steven, you are so right. I also am just like you. Any gun, in the proper hands is a defensive wepon. Gun control movements are only about control and has nothing to do with the gun itself. The government doesn't want us to be able to defend ourselves with wepons equal to what they want to us against us.

  4. She did a great job. The tough part was, she was squeezing a lot of info into a short segment. And for those who might not be familiar with firearms, I'm not sure they wouldn't still feel uncomfortable with the AR and just want to ban the 12 Guage and 30.06 too.I sure would like to see a series of educational clips designed to dispel the most common gun myths. But carefully designed to win hearts and minds. That requires context, emotional appeal and justification for the argument. Just pulling out a Black Rifle and shootin' it…makes people flinch, especially now. I absolutely think she was on the right track showing the difference in ballistic effect, excellent. It would be great to see…(eg) a woman explain her need to protect herself from a stalker or rapist and why she wants a high capacity magazine…rather than a revolver. Or why…if no one is shooting back, Magazine Capacity is meaningless…almost any gun can be quickly re-loaded.A series would be great , we need it :-) Just my thoughts, thanks and great groupings! :-)

  5. You can fire the exact same ammunition from a single shot or bolt action or pump action and it would do the same damage. Welcome to the world of the banners. they don't even understand what it is they are trying to ban.

    • it's because it's not about the weapons, caliber, action or terminal ballistics it's about control. it's about disarming the public so they can rule with an iron fist and get rid of the constitution. If you think I'm crazy one look at history, communist, socialism, dictatorships… Right now the Dems have a chokehold on the government and socialism aka communism aka ruler of all is they're best friend. Also take a look at other current events going on. they're trying to take out guns while giving guns and planes and tanks to our enemies The Muslim Brotherhood and Egypt (which in and of itself is treason punishable by death) while covering up Bengahzi while the Arab nations are calling for a rise of all Muslims to band together to for a great army, God knows what's going on in China. Scuttlebutt for a while have been that we might en up in Egypt and or East Africa next…

are any of these dots connecting? Semper! Vigile, paratus, fidelis.

  6. This girl is good, very good indeed. By not putting all rounds in the same hole ( like I know she could) produces much more skocking power, just what you want to defend yourself. A shotgun with a short barrel and #2 shot would make even a larger pattern than what you saw here.

  7. Well of course a shotgun at close range is the most effective – it requires little more than point and shoot accuracy and it is unlikely for an errant shot to travel very far making them good choices for home security. But to indicate that the.223 slug does the least damage is misleading at best. The AR-15 is the military equivalent of the M-16 and fires a rounds with a muzzle velocity exceeding 3200 FPS having an effective range up to 600M – that's more than 18 football fields! Moreove, the shells are designed such that they fragment when fired at high muzzle velocities (obtained by using longer barrels which are readily available). Fragmentation imparts much greater damage to human tissue than the bullet dimensions and velocities would suggest. THIS is why the Bushmaster.223 fired in the Sandy Hook massacre was so devestating. To pretend that these weapons are the least damaging is simply silly. There is a reason the military uses them!

    • Devastating, how is that so when the shooter never even fired it? The M-16 fires 5.56 NATO not .223 REM. Similar cartridges yes, but not the same. The SAMMI Spec on 5.56 is 10,000 PSI greater than .223 REM. Most people with out training couldn't hit a man/woman sized target at 100 yards let alone 600 meters. As a Law Enforcement Officer, Fire Arms Instructor and Comp Shooter. I'd be more worried about a marksman with a 22lr pistol hat some whack job with an AR. It's about shot placement. (Oh back to the fact that gun grabber want to ban a rifle that was present but never used). Leave guns alone and balance the friggin budget already.

  8. They found 4 hand guns at the Sandy Hook Shooting. The AR-15 was still in the assassins automobile. Just saying…

    • You are correct. There were four hand guns found. We have not been told as to what they are as far as I know. After the first round, kids or anyone else is going to scatter like a flock of birds. I can see, 2 or 3 shooters, but not this kid, I don't care how mentally unbalanced he was. Not much being released about the Sandy Hook incident any more. Why? I feel like information is being held back.

  9. The M16 Military Assault Weapon is a magazine fed, gas-operated, air-cooled, semiautomatic or three-round burst, hand-held, shoulder-fired weapon. It has a selector switch on it, safe, semi & auto. It shoots a 5.56mm NATO ball or tracer round and NOT the.223 round which has been made famous in this country by the News Media. The M16 has a maximum effective range of 550 meters point target and 800 meters area target. The military uses several electronic controlled pop up targets that range from 50 to 300 meters for soldiers to qualify their weapon with. If you would like to know more about the M16 Military Assault Weapon. Join the Military :-)

    • one of my favorites. can't wait to build one.from scratch to my own specs. then again I might just want to build a "Ban friendly" AR15 where it'll comply with their heinous laws completely but still be an AR15. ;)

    • Lynn- You are incorrect, the M16 variants all fire the 5.56mm round not the 7.62mm round. I have been in the military for 23 years and have carried many an M16 as well as the M60E3 and M240G machine gun during my tours. The M60 and M240 both are belt-fed, crew-served weapons that fire a 7.62mm round, just FYI for you.

  10. You see a 20 year old kid whether he's all there or not killing 20 kids and 6 adults with a powerful pistol semi automatic? What is wrong with this picture? I want to know God damn it.

  11. The kid could have walked into the class room with a bomb strapped to his chest and pushed a button. The kid could have used any kind of weapon , but his choice was a pistol probably easier to carry and conceal. Regardless of that fact it could have been a Lawn Mower, Knife, Axe, Machete, He could have choose a chain saw. What are you going to do, Out Law Chain Saw's.

    • He would have a lot better luck with a bomb. Sorry, to pull off a shooting like that you have got to have your shit together. I digress. You have to not be a 20 year old with no shooting skills. These freaks can be murderous, but think about this. I would think that a shooter that had the skill this shooting champion does, you could pull it off. I'm sorry, it does not pass the smell test. I wonder what this shooting champion thinks or anyone else for that matter. I hate this, but it pisses me off when kids get killed or anyone else for that matter, but especially kids. Why do people kill people? Shit…

  12. Mr Stafford, Mr Harris, and Mr Parrish, I can see that you are all knowlegeable about weapons and their caracteristics. This video was meant for people who aren't that knowlegeable and need to be enlightened.

My original point was that the uninformed were being fed inaccuarte information. One does not need to have an "assault rifle" or large magazine to do the same damage. This person had over 20 minutes before the arrival of police totally unopposed and if he had taken a stot or two at the cops they wouldn't have entered the school as fast as they did. He instead chose to kill himself. In 20 to 30 minutes even an untrained shooter could have killed all the same people with other guns, even a revolver, a double barrel, or a single shot.

He killed the teachers first and left the children leaderless, from that point on it was shooting fish in a barrel. The chidren were most likely traumatised and cowed. They probably couldn't have escaped easily even if they knew to try. A double barrel or single shot shotgun with large buckshot could conceivably kill or injure several at a time. Spraying a pattern of shot is the same as many 38 cal rounds at once. Also, considering they could even pass through small bodies there might have been more gore and horrer than one might think. Huddled children would not be able to avoid the shots even if they were shielded by other children.

This totally disguting critique is part of the neccessary discussion of how we try to prevent these things in the future. Banning a class of weapons will not stop this or even slow it down. We must move on to helping the victims hide, shelter, and survive untill the police do come and even afterward untill they are all safe. We need to have someone or something that provides a deterant to these idiots even thinking of going to a school, etc.

  13. I think saferooms might be good ideas if we can do that. Armed guards or staff that voluteer to take training and carry guns might help to deter or stop an attack. Barriers similarto the fire doors already installed in schools could at least contain the guy in one area. Escape windows or doors in every classroom and barrier doors to the classrooms from the hall with less glass or stronger glass so the guy doesn't breach them as easily. Possibly even some tables with bullet resistant tops that can be made into a shelter. Last but not least the training for teachers and staff to recognize an attack and respond accordingly just as we have fire and bomb drills.

Guess our national leaders didn't expect this. On Thursday, Darrell Scott, the father of Rachel Scott, a victim of the Columbine High School shootings in Littleton, Colorado, was invited to address the House Judiciary Committee's subcommittee. What he said to our national leaders during this special session of Congress was painfully truthful.

They were not prepared for what he was to say, nor was it received well. It needs to be heard by every parent, every teacher, every politician, every sociologist, every psychologist, and every so-called expert! These courageous words spoken by Darrell Scott are powerful, penetrating, and deeply personal. There is no doubt that God sent this man as a voice crying in the wilderness.. The following is a portion of the transcript:
"Since the dawn of creation there has been both good & evil in the hearts of men and women. We all contain the seeds of kindness or the seeds of violence. The death of my wonderful daughter, Rachel Joy Scott, and the deaths of that heroic teacher, and the other eleven children who died must not be in vain. Their blood cries out for answers.

"The first recorded act of violence was when Cain slew his brother Abel out in the field. The villain was not the club he used.. Neither was it the NCA, the National Club Association. The true killer was Cain, and the reason for the murder could only be found in Cain's heart.

"In the days that followed the Columbine tragedy, I was amazed at how quickly fingers began to be pointed at groups such as the NRA. I am not a member of the NRA. I am not a hunter. I do not even own a gun. I am not here to represent or defend the NRA – because I don't believe that they are responsible for my daughter's death.

Therefore I do not believe that they need to be defended. If I believed they had anything to do with Rachel's murder I would be their strongest opponent.

I am here today to declare that Columbine was not just a tragedy — it was a spiritual event that should be forcing us to look at where the real blame lies! Much of the blame lies here in this room. Much of the blame lies behind the pointing fingers of the accusers themselves. I wrote a poem just four nights ago that expresses my feelings best.

Your laws ignore our deepest needs,
    Your words are empty air.
    You've stripped away our heritage,
    You've outlawed simple prayer.
    Now gunshots fill our classrooms,
    And precious children die.
    You seek for answers everywhere,
    And ask the question "Why?"
    You regulate restrictive laws,
    Through legislative creed.
And yet you fail to understand,
That God is what we need!

"Men and women are three-part beings. We all consist of body, mind, and spirit. When we refuse to acknowledge a third part of our make-up, we create a void that allows evil, prejudice, and hatred to rush in and wreak havoc. Spiritual presences were present within our educational systems for most of our nation's history. Many of our major colleges began as theological seminaries. This is a historical fact. What has happened to us as a nation? We have refused to honor God, and in so doing, we open the doors to hatred and violence. And when something as terrible as Columbine's tragedy occurs — politicians immediately look for a scapegoat such as the NRA. They immediately seek to pass more restrictive laws that contribute to erode away our personal and private liberties. We do not need more restrictive laws. Eric and Dylan would not have been stopped by metal detectors. No amount of gun laws can stop someone who spends months planning this type of massacre. The real villain lies within our own hearts.

"As my son Craig lay under that table in the school library and saw his two friends murdered before his very eyes, he did not hesitate to pray in school. I defy any law or politician to deny him that right! I challenge every young person in America , and around the world, to realize that on April 20, 1999, at Columbine High School prayer was brought back to our schools. Do not let the many prayers offered by those students be in vain. Dare to move into the new millennium with a sacred disregard for legislation that violates your God-given right to communicate with Him. To those of you who would point your finger at the NRA — I give to you a sincere challenge.. Dare to examine your own heart before casting the first stone!

My daughter's death will not be in vain! The young people of this country will not allow that to happen!"

    – Darrell Scott.
Do what the media did not – – let the nation hear this man's speech. Please send this out to everyone you can.
    God Bless

  15. They want to ban guns to save lives? When it comes to killing, Samson killed a thousand men with the Jaw Bone of an Ass! Before gun powder was invented people were slaughtering each other with knives made out of stone, clubs, spears, swords, you name it. Cain killed his brother Abel with a rock. So it seems the Libs are just worried about how fast, and how many people die with semi-automatic weapons. Thousands of children die every single day, for the last forty years through the God awful abortion; and the libs will fight you tooth, and nail for their right, and choice to keep it legal. What's the matter, murder is ok with them if it's 'Their Choice', because the hit man Doctors don't use a gun? They are hypocrite liars, they are un-Godly Commies, and this gun ban bull is just Adolph Hitler has come back to life.

  16. Gun Control isn't about guns, it's about control!

A Washington Post editorial is cited from September 15, 1994, two days after the first assault weapons ban was put into place. Purpose:“[N]o one should have any illusions about what was accomplished [by the ban],” the editorial read. “Assault weapons play a part in only a small percentage of crime. The provision is mainly symbolic; its virtue will be if it turns out to be, as hoped, a stepping stone to broader gun control.”. "Waiting periods are only a step. Registration is only a step. The prohibition of private firearms is the goal." -Janet Reno

  17. Thanks for some other informative blog. The place else may I am
getting that type of information written in such an ideal method?
I have a challenge that I am simply now running on, and I’ve been at the glance out for such info.

  18. When someone writes an paragraph he/she keeps the plan of
a user in his/her brain that how a user can be aware of
it. Therefore that’s why this post is great. Thanks!

  19. Definitely consider that which you said. Your favorite justification seemed to be on the net
the simplest thing to understand of. I say to you, I definitely
get irked whilst people consider worries that they just
do not understand about. You controlled to hit the nail upon the top
and defined out the whole thing with no need side-effects , people
can take a signal. Will likely be again to get more.
    Thank you
