Obama to visit Texas for fundraiser, event; No stop at disaster town West, Texas

obama Tx

President Obama is still not scheduled to visit the devastated community of West, Texas, where an explosion at a fertilizer plant five days ago killed 14 – including 11 emergency responders – and wounded approximately 200 people.

Up to 75 homes were damaged, as well as an apartment complex that was decimated.

Obama so far has sent prayers and money to the town, but not himself.

According to Bridget Johnson at PJ Media, Texas senator Ted Cruz said it is “doubtful” that Obama will visit the town.

He will have ample opportunity. The president, along with First Lady Michelle Obama, will be in Texas two days this week, heading to Dallas Wednesday for a Democratic National Committee fundraiser and then remaining in the city overnight.

On Thursday, he is scheduled to attend the dedication ceremony for the George W. Bush Presidential Center in Dallas.

But he may be on a tight schedule as he is supposed to attend the Planned Parenthood Gala in Washington Thursday evening.

Its like you learn my mind! You appear to understand so much about this, like you wrote the e book in it or something.
I believe that you simply can do with some percent to force the message home a bit,
however other than that, that is great blog.
A fantastic read. I will certainly be back.

Whats this suprise visit costs the taxpayers vs what he gives ?

Brock M. Lambert says:

Boycott and picket his "fund-raiser"!

Why would this be a surprise? Only for those that continue to believe Obama really cares for the American people.

Besides, I wouldn't think it a big deal. Majority of Texas don't want him there anyway.

Desiree Shantell Hollis says:

Yeah, we don't want you here. lol Just stay home!

The priorities of him, and his followers make me want to say bad words. Raise money, to buy a boat, and push his agenda. The man who lost his boat is not at fault for what happened. , nor do I mean him disrespect. Its a boat, probably insured. Its not someone hanging on by a ventilator, nor homeless person. The displaced people of West, Texas my heart goes out to…some lost their son, husband, and parent…I'm frustrated with the priority of fundraisers this week.

Debra Inwood says:

It doesn't further his agenda to do so.

Ron Wieder says:

He doesn't give a damn for our Country or for us!

Gina Miranda says:

he wont do much but try to use this problem just like the storm that hit NJ they still have no help..

Suzi Reese says:

Why isn't he going? Because there's no agenda for him to push there.

No surprise there…..he visited the East side of Iowa twice for this type of function two years ago and did not visit or even mention the West side of Iowa where all the counties were fighting water all summer long.

Gus Matthias says:

Why would he? He is looking for more money – for what reason I'm not sure… But this town in Texas didn't vote for him and they are a little strapped for cash…

John Travis says:

He knows darn well show up here and we see how well he swims.

Bobby Coble says:

Maybe not, but his lack of a planned stop shows where his priorities are, doesn't it?

Mike Palmquist says:

Maybe he ought to take a furlough and keep the Air Traffic controllers at work. Also, every time he flys in AF! he screws up the Air Traffic Control for several hours.

Too bad the sequester did not furlough all of the negative thinkers out there.
