VOTE DEMOCRATG#10. I vote Democrat because I love the fact that I can now marry
whatever I want. I’ve decided to marry my German Shepherd.

#9. I vote Democrat because I believe oil companies’ profits of 4% on
a gallon of gas are obscene, but the government taxing the same gallon
at 15% isn’t.

#8. I vote Democrat because I believe the government will do a better
job of spending the money I earn than I would.

#7. I vote Democrat because Freedom of Speech is fine as long as
nobody is offended by it.

#6. I vote Democrat because I’m way too irresponsible to own a gun,
and I know that my local police are all I need to protect me from
murderers and thieves. I am also thankful that we have a 911 service
that get police to your home in order to identify your body after a
home invasion.

#5. I vote Democrat because I’m not concerned about millions of
babies being aborted so long as we keep all death row inmates alive
and comfy.

#4. I vote Democrat because I think illegal aliens have a right to
free health care, education, and Social Security benefits, and we
should take away Social Security from those who paid into it.

#3. I vote Democrat because I believe that businesses should not be
allowed to make profits for themselves. They need to break even and
give the rest away to the government for redistribution as the
Democrat Party sees fit.

#2. I vote Democrat because I believe liberal judges need to rewrite
the Constitution every few days to suit fringe kooks who would never
get their agendas past the voters.

…And the #1 reason I vote Democrat is because I think it’s better to
pay $billions$ for oil to people who hate us, but not drill our own
because it might upset some endangered beetle, gopher or fish here in
America. We don’t care about the beetles, gophers or fish in those
other countries.

  1. That is what is funny.
Letterman is a comedian and makes up facts for his top ten all the time to get a punchline. It is just a double whammy that he is so great with Obama.

  2. Don Burrus The problem is that he didn't do this and they make it seem like he did. That means instead of a page that delivers news they are a page that posts made up stuff. How can we take anything they post seriously. You see what I mean. I understand posting it, but at least post a disclaimer saying that you don't know that Letterman said this.

  3. Wasn't Letterman a republican during the Bush administration? Seriously That is why he is on FOX and Jay is on NBC

  4. Right there is PRECISELY the reason we are having the conversation. It is YOUR responsibility to out food in the table , not mine and definitely not the governments. The "priviledged few" is just nonsense to create a scapegoat.

  5. I vote democrat because I don't have a photo ID, which of course keeps me from getting food stamps, medical care, a job, a bank account…but I just want to vote, I don't need those other things, I'm dead.

  6. Steven Cates It's called spoofing. He wasn't trying to seriously credit Letterman with authoring this.

  7. Linda Pineda Porterfield Well, that's not immediately obvious. It does credit Letterman. I just thought there must be a better way than to put it up there like it was actually his list. I mean if Letterman was actually being this obvious about where he stands, that would be big news. I didn't want to try and argue about this. That would be stupid. I guess I will just have to fact check everything posted on this site from now on. That's going to be a real pain.

  8. What a dumbass, baseless, nonfactual list. I hope Letterman sues your ass. 10. Marriage equality for LBGT, not bestiality, imbecile. 9. The Big Five earned $93 billion last year, and kept most of it because of corporate tax loopholes. It's not the percentage, it's the tax loopholes, stop twisting it.8, based on what? Current tax rates are the lowest in decades. 7. WTH are you talking about ? – again, nothing to back your statement up with 6. Guns laws are as conservative as ever thanks to the NRA lobby-driven GOP blocking any kind of legislation to have background checks to weed out mentally ill gun owners – you know, the ones that are usually involved in mass shootings. 5. Abortions have decreased thanks to Planned Parenthood and similar education. While everyone is anti-abortion, no one has the right to tell others what decisions they make with there own body. 4. Hogwash – there are no provisions to provide immigrants with free health care, education and SS, and take away citizens' SS – Where do you get this stuff? – Please stop watching Faux "News' – they are LIARS, bought and paid for by special interest groups with only their best interests in mind! 3. More undocumented BS. Dems simply want to close tax loopholes and minimally raise tax rates on the wealthiest Americans back to where the were before the Bush tax cuts – 39.5% instead of 36%.2.Please show us evidence of this (again) untrue statement. 1. Leave the horse and buggy whip mentality behind. It's time to find new sources of energy. Fossil fuel is a limited resource. Fucking with the ecosystem is bad for the environment. I know change is hard for many but you must adapt or die.

  9. Don Burrus If you say so. Four different people have gone against what I said trying to defend this site and no one has even slightly conceded my point so it seems that I am dealing with a group of people whose minds are made up. I guess if it's against Obama or the left then it's gotta be good. I suppose now I should start posting quotes from George Washington like " A nation which permits amnesty and welfare to the lazy is ripe for rebellion". Sure, Washington never said it, but it sounds good and who's to know for real right. Whatever. I guess it's ok if we play by the same rules as they do. I give up.

  10. Steven Cates play by the same rules as they do. Sometimes you have to dig in the dirt to catch a worm. (stoop down to liberal stupidity to make fun of them.)

  11. All were pretty good until #1.
Domestic oil prodction won't effect prices on a global market. Believing otherwise is ignorant of basic economics.

  12. Democrats don't feed anyone. It is the poor farmer that feeds America and the goverment and the middle men who make the money. It is the farmer who pays for the food stamps everyone gets who is to lazy to work. However I don't have a problem with those who are disabled and cannot work getting help.

  13. Thanks Ron, for badly needed public education!! Ignorance IS bliss these days! I prefer do my own research regarding facts, rather have "Faux News", shell it out, with many other mindless mass media, brain washing sessions of "Honey Boo Boo", or whatever it is mindless people prefer to watch, and believe!! Oh, and make sure you're taking an exercise free diet pill of some sort, while sprouting on the couch. Please pass the Mahalo Bag!!!

  14. Denise Lipper Got nothing to do with being offended. The poster's intent is not to be "funny and cute", but to reinforce lies so the rich get richer, the middle class shrinks, and the poor get poorer. – that's their agenda here. The problem with joking about stuff like this is that too many idiot sheeple don't get the joke and take it seriously. Just look at the comments, people are eating this up as if it's true. They believe it to be true, then vote based on these misguided beliefs. I just mythbusted every point in that post. Hopefully someone will see that and learn the facts, not the false propaganda that was posted. I'm all for jokes: A horse walks into a bar — bartender says "Why the long face"? (cymbal crash).

  15. Lets get one thing straight. Just because a fetus is in a woman's body doesn't make it her body to make decisions for. She made all the decisions that got her pregnant to begin with. At what point do you "as a pro choice person" believe that someone should face the consequences of their actions? Just because there is a way to avoid those consequences doesn't make it right.

  16. Vince Malfa I respect your opinion on that. What I take issue with is the post that says "I vote Democrat because I’m not concerned about millions of
babies being aborted". That's just nonsense.

  17. Ron Gray With regards to pro choice. Is it or is it not one one of the basic building blocks of the Democrat party platform? Can you honestly say that you believe a pro abortion person cares about all the aborted babies? Some time ago I considered myself a pro choice person and that I and my wife chose life. I was dead wrong. One cannot be pro choice without being pro abortion. All children are precious and a treasure. Anyone who does not see the value in the life of an unborn child had best thank God that their parents did.

I am 50 years old. I have a 23 year old daughter, a 20 year old son, and a 3 year old daughter. And I can tell you that I would trade my life to preserve theirs. And I felt that way from the moment we knew they were coming into our lives. Did I panic when I found out the youngest was on her way? Honestly I thought I would have a heart attack. But I had made all of the choices that brought me to that point in my life. Now I have a BEAUTIFUL little girl that lights up my life and the lives of everyone she meets.

To be pro abortion is to be anti life and anti love. Pro abortion is just another way for people to avoid the consequences of their actions. How many choices does a person get before consequences must be faced?

Choice #1 I'm not going to take birth control pills.
Choice#2 I'm going to sleep with this person.
Choice #3 I'm not going to use protection.

This string of choices have a foreseeable ending. Yet pro abortion people believe that a person who made all of those choices has one more. And that choice is to KILL a child. I THINK NOT.

  18. Ron Gray. I guess we must remember the mantra of our era…" if it's on the internet, it must be true". So it goes with TV and almost any form of media! Poor America. Look what we've become. A bunch of couch potatoes who'd rather believe what they hear and see than go out and get educated and informed. When one is in the desert, one does not drink the sand because he wants to… he drinks it because it's all he can find. We're in the midst of a media sandstorm!
I love this site. I get to chat with people who offer sensible, informed arguments! Thanks everyone.

  19. Vince Malfa Again, I appreciate your opinion. I'm 54 with two beautiful children that I would give my life for in an instant as well.. But I ask you, what do you do in the case of rape? None of the 3 criteria of free will choices that you set as benchmarks in your post are met. Should there be an abortion exception for cases of rape? What about incest – your criteria of choice is met there but the baby would be born with serious defects, probably deformed. Exception to rule? What about pregnancies where there is a significant risk that the mother would die if the pregnancy is carried to term? Exception there? When does life begin? The instant the sperm fertilizes the egg? Or when the fetus develops feelings? I know your answer, but this is a topic of debate for years. Some feel that until human form takes shape in the 2nd or 3rd trimester should it be considered human life. Again, no one is pro abortion, it's a terrible thing. I would venture to say that everyone thinks abortion is terrible. It is my hope that people become educated about pregnancy prevention, and if for some reason that fails, that they choose to carry the pregnancy through every time. But I don't think that the government should make it law. It will just lead to unsafe black market abortions. Roe v Wade settled this issue 41 years ago. So again, I maintain that there is no such thing as "pro abortion. We are, (or all should be), pro life, we just have different ways of defining it and getting there. But I do appreciate your opinion and passion on the subject.

  20. Denise Lipper There are a few non-partisan news outlets left, just have to look hard to find them. For example, Al Jazeera American is straight news with no bias. The Daily show calls it like it sees it – Stewart has recently called out the Obama Admin for nominating high donor Ambassadors who have never been to the country they're nominated to Ambassador for, (although every other administration has done it as well), overstepping boundries with NSA, drones, etc., so he calls out both the Dems and GOP – it's just that the GOP fucks up so much more it seems he leans left, but he's just calling it correctly most of the time. Colbert Report is great, looking at it from the tongue in cheek perspective . I've never been to this sight before, but from what I've seen, for the most part it doesn't appear to be "filled with people who offer sensible informed arguments", especially the articles to begin with. But it's always good to see what right-wing extremists are thinking so you know what you're up against. And this site is definitely extremist.

  21. Ron Gray I agree that the stemming articles are absurd!!! But the fact that people can share opinions that stem from such nonsense is interesting to me. I love Stephen Colbert. I don't know if I'm brave enough to venture to Al Jazeera. Maybe I'll make the leap and hold onto the arms of my office share while I listen/read their news. And to Mr.Malfa: I do not believe that abortion has been anything but a political ploy since Roe vs. Wade. What politician has truly been elected because of his abortion beliefs? I think none. And I think the abortion issue is used to sway your attention away from other issues. Truly? I don't think the legality or illegality of abortion would sway any women's decision to go there. A woman will either do it… or not! Legal… or not!

  22. Most of these supposed Letterman top ten statements are true and what isn't is meant to be humorous. We don't have to be reminded that the Dems didn't legalize marrying your German Shepards and since when did Letterman's top ten become factual anyway. It's always funny to a liberal when a conservative get's to eat dirt but not them.

  23. Ron Gray I agree that rape and incest should be exceptions to the rule. I guess I should have clarified that. As far as danger to the mother is concerned, a baby born at the beginning of the 3rd trimester is viable and can be delivered with a reasonable chance for survival. In fact children have been delivered far earlier and survived. Severe deformities that would deliver a child in a vegetative state would be a discussion that would have to be handled by the mother, father, doctor, and clergy if the parents are so inclined. Those exceptions are case by case and few and far between (relatively speaking) My biggest problem is people who view it as a form of contraception. Women who have abortions repeatedly. Or the way pro choice liberals view a living baby in the womb as a lump of flesh with no more value than a tumor.

As far as when does life begin? At conception. PERIOD! The reason I feel so strongly about that is; If you place that point (life)anywhere after conception it is open to interpretation. There is a french scientist (PSYCHOLOGIST I believe) who says that a child is not "self aware/ sentient" until it reaches the age of 5. And as such cannot be thought of as alive. So by that definition we could kill a 4 year old child and call it an abortion. Not that I believe that that would ever happen. But this world we live in is a crazy place and one can never be sure.

There is a culture in this country that seems to be spreading. It seems to revolve around the attitude that "I can do what I want and no one should hold me accountable for my actions; I have an excuse." The liberal Democrats foster that and champion it. They blame object for bad behavior. When that is not possible, they they provide ways to circumvent the moral standards set by society and by our laws. Someone gets shot.Tthey blame the gun not the shooter. Someone decides to sit on their butt for their whole life we give them food and housing with no expectation of anything in return. When someone enters this country illegally we give them food stamps and welcome them with documents in their language to help them bilk the system. When someone has unprotected sex by choice we allow them to kill the unborn baby so they don't have to work to support it. We no longer stigmatize teen pregnancy. On the contrary. We facilitate it. We provide free day care at high schools for students with babies. Where is the shame? There is none. The democrats have seen to it that there is no shame in our culture and as a result people have no built in subconscious reason to not do something. Bring back humility and cultural stigma and many things will fix themselves.

For the record I respect your opinion even though ti view them as wrong. I have greatly enjoyed this little discussion.

  24. Ron: You really should get someone to read and explain the The Declaration of Independence and the Constitution to you. These are important because they define the purpose of the federal government; and define the LIMITED authorities DELEGATED to the federal government. Until you understand these two simple documents, you will never understand how utterly wrong your comments are. If you get that down, you might want to work on Economics and then maybe look at IRS documents to see whom actually pays 60% of the taxes in America. So many things to learn; so little time…

  25. Frank D. Banta I'd be willing to bet I know more than you based on your rant. You obviously interpret things differently than what many others may call rationally. I refuse to debate with some one so narrow-minded. All other posters, whether they agreed or not, were respectful, except you. Good day sir.

  26. Which Letterman's name is being used? No where do you see the name David Letterman used. Who says the top 10 list belongs to David Letterman? ESPN has used top 10 lists on Sportscenter for years.

  27. Planned parenthood one of the biggest promoters of abortion. and really anyone, democrat or republican with an agenda will spin it…I believe in gun laws…100%, but, do you really think a simple background check will weed the crazies out? Both parties need to overhauling.

  28. Ron Gray , in response to your comment of the case of rape: when a woman is raped there is a perpetrator and a victim. if the rape causes a pregnancy, there is a perpetrator and 2 victims. if there is a rape, a pregnancy and an abortion, who gets the death penalty? the child. of the 3 involved, one loses their life. the most pure and innocent of the 3. rape is a terrible thing, but i also know that abortion is a terrible thing. our current president spent his political career fighting for abortion, but not just abortion, but partial birth abortion, done to a child up until the due date. if you don't know for sure what this is, you should watch a video of it so you know for sure. its murder of a human baby. see it for yourself, and decide for yourself. dems want to use tax dollars to pay for this, even though most people, and i would assume all people that really knew what it is, oppose it. obamacare is the law of the land, and we're supposed to obey laws. according to our illustrious man in the oval office, that's not true, is it? his leadership encourages me to only obey the laws i agree with. otherwise, how could the attorney general be instructing people in the field to not enforce immigration laws? am i supposed to follow as my leader does? or maybe that pesky constitution?the double standards in the dem party, and their attitude of win elections no matter what, change immigration laws, or don't enforce them to flood the polls w/ people that you know full well should not be voting. how do you condone the hypocrisy? no i.d. to vote? seriously? you have to have i.d. to do almost anything. but not vote? try that in any other country and see how it flies. immigrate illegally to any other country and see if you're so welcomed. dem's and rino's time is coming to an end. see you in november.

  29. I appreciate your views. When you refer to the abortion issue, and people having the right to make their own decision, and I'm all for women's right's. But, I will ask you a question, an extremely sad one, "What about the rights of the unborn fetus" ? The amount of abortions each day, is a clear indicator of irresponsibility. And, who pays the price? Not the irresponsible adults…Inside, or outside of the womb, it's hypocritical, murder. Thanks for listening.

  30. And…if you've ever watched an actual top 10 list, you know every one of these is way too wordy. Dave would never say any of these things even in jest.

  31. Frank D. Banta you can't argue with these Democrats, you will be labeled as bigot, racist and name caller. When you merely point out that the Constitution has been the law of the land for over 200 Years, (along with the Bill of Rights, which give it true legitimacy). Democrats are and never have been for the average person. They are Elitists who prey on the under-educated by telling them lies and repeating it often enough that the Kool-Aid generation thinks it is true. Our forefathers must be truly ashamed of the way things are going in this once great country. Democrats can't understand that there is NEVER a Free-Lunch. And I am not willing to give up my freedom to lying fucks who count the votes of dead people, illegal aliens and black people who vote more than once!

  32. Your comment about number 10 tells me everything I need to know about your point of view. You condone immoral and godless acts. There is no further need to engage in debate with you.

  33. Ron Gray ,
The rich get rich and the poor get poorer? Not in America. If you live in America, work hard, and make good decisions, you will not be poor for long. The rich are rich because the know how to make money and work hard. There is nothing wrong with that. You live in a fantasy world where good is bad and bad is good.

You suffer from a hateful, delusional world view.

  34. In that case I think Nixon Carter Reagan Bush Clinton and W Bush would be so rich just from suing comedians

  35. Ron, I will say this….you must drink quite a bit of that "Kool-Aid". First off, NJ recently passed a bill giving illegals the same college rates for state schools as their residents. There are a number of other states that have done the same thing. Social Security funding has dropped drastically in the past number of years as has the state pension systems, which have been raided by the politicians and never paid back. There has been mental records checks in place for gun permits as long as I can remember. I am 58 and I bought my first handgun when I was 21. As far as illegals receiving free health care, I have a few relatives who work in healthcare and they do receive treatment without any health coverage. I want you to try and see if they treat you without coverage. And I guess there are no "Special interest groups" that work for the benefit of the democrats. Obviously, you believe everything you have been told, but that's OK, because you believe it to be the "truth". Another one of the blind sheep following his shepherd.

  36. Sorry Ron, but almost nothing you wrote done here is a fact. You are not even guessing. You are like most democrat voters, totally clueless what is going on. You probably get your news from Hollywood !!!!!!

  37. Ron Gray Letterman is a comedian who talks crap in his monologue nightly. You obviously think that he is a big wussy

  38. Richard Shores read the title above, but I agree with you, he doesn't own it, it is just the best part of his show. People could easily assume he does from that. He is a left winger all the way

  39. You must have voted for Obama. Lowest tax rates in decades? Which one? By the way there are 37 new taxes in the last decade you must have missed. There are 3 new ones on your cell phone bill. You probably missed those with your Obama phone. Get a clue. I would tell you to write a letter to your friend in the white house but he has your pen!

  40. #11- 'I vote Democrat because I feel guilty for making so much money and I have to appear like I care about the poor and disenfranchised so instead of giving up my extra mansion and additional automobile, I vote so the middle class who are already working hard and having a huge percentage of their income taken by the government can help redistribute to those who don't want to work. It makes me look good even though in the long run I can still keep my mansion, cars and lots of materialistic items. But hey, I care…."

  41. 10.) I agree with you, although there is no push from the left in favor of plural marriages, wich actually has a religious bases. 9.) so the big five earned $93 billion, what was their R.O.I. And also that example was to point out that the government makes more on a gallon of oil than the actual company, that you did not refute, don get it twisted

  42. 8.) it's not so much about the rate, rat here where it is being spent, again don't get it twisted. 6.) the reason why mental health isn't even a part of a background check is due to H.I.P.P.A. We have long had background checks, and many are denied a firearm everyday due to them. Now, the black market is another problem. Now I can't read past 6 but I think I've seen enough. Again don't get it twisted.

  43. Ron Gray Why don't you crawl back under that rock you live under. You dummycrats are all the same blind, deaf and dumb to reality. Go smoke another joint boing boing.

  44. I vote democrat because I don’t have a photo ID, which of course keeps me from getting food stamps, medical care, a job, a bank account…but I just want to vote, I don’t need those other things, I’m dead.

  45. Ron Gray you are the smartest one on here . Republicans believe everything bad they hear on Democrats ,because they wan’t to. If Democrats said all these lies about them they wouldn’t think it so funny .

  46. What a dumbass, baseless, nonfactual list. I hope Letterman sues your ass. 10. Marriage equality for LBGT, not bestiality, imbecile. 9. The Big Five earned $93 billion last year, and kept most of it because of corporate tax loopholes. It’s not the percentage, it’s the tax loopholes, stop twisting it.8, based on what?
