Earlier this week, New York Governor Andrew Cuomo declared that “right-to-life, pro-assault-weapon, anti-gay” conservatives are not welcome in his state. Fortunately, those “extreme conservatives” have a place to go: Sweet Home Alabama.
On Monday, Alabama Governor Dr. Robert Bentley had a simple message for them. From Yellowhammer News:
“In Alabama we strongly support and uphold our great U.S. Constitution on which our nation and our states were founded,” Bentley told Yellowhammer. “The Constitution serves to protect individual Freedoms. Among them are those guaranteed in the Second Amendment, which protects the right of the people to keep and bear Arms. We will protect the Freedoms of individuals and welcome any one or any company to Alabama to discover as so many have, that we are a pro-business state filled with good, hardworking people.”
“Alabama has so much for people to enjoy, from our warm sunny beaches to our beautiful lakes and rivers,” Bentley said. “We’re proud of the cultural diversity that makes our state so unique, and we welcome New Yorkers and anyone to experience for themselves what makes our state so great.”
Since his election, Governor Bentley has been an outspoken supporter of conservative talking points and has worked with the state legislature to issue some of the nation’s toughest immigration and abortion laws.

The comments made over the weekend by New York Governor Andrew Cuomo are reprehensible. If he doesn’t want hard working pro-life and pro-2nd Amendment people in his state, we will gladly take them here in Alabama. Like this post if you agree with me that Gov. Cuomo should be ashamed of himself.
Now, before everyone starts throwing around the inevitable string of jokes that is to follow, I’d like to point out that, unfortunately, there are plenty of racists, rednecks and hypocrites in every state. However, as an Alabamian myself, I’m happy to extend our noteworthy hospitality to anyone who wants it. We’d love to have y’all!
