The feeding frenzy is on, and many of those who can put together the financial resources are lining up to finagle some kind of a deal if they can. The extortion of Donald Sterling has now become a celebrity event, complete with racial bias.
The supposed reason that Sterling was forced to sell the team is due to his racist comments. They may have been the catalyst, but we’ve learned those were not a unique occurrence.
Some of those wishing to buy the Clippers have some problems with playing nice with others as well. Oprah Winfrey, who opens the above video as a leading contender, is seen in the second video in an interview saying that old white racists “just have to die.” She was also exposed as fabricating the Swiss racism incident last summer.
Winfrey also revealed her racist tendencies as being part of her motivation for wanting to buy the team in a comment she made about partnering with David Geffen and Larry Ellison. Geffen quoted Oprah in an interview saying, “Oprah is not interested in running the team. She thinks it would be a great thing for an important black American to own [another] franchise.” That’s right, black racism doesn’t exist, Al Sharpton told us so.
Earvin Johnson comes off as less than sincere in his attempts at being “cute and coy” when asked about whether he wanted the team at the Milken function. As one who was intertwined in the events which led to Sterling’s removal, the cuteness thing just doesn’t fly.
The thought and speech police are taking the first step, it’s clear, but aside from that, their rush to judgment, to accommodate the race baiters like Sharpton, the NAACP, and others is nothing short of cowardly.
Sterling is a Democrat and as such is fully deserving of this treatment from his fellow opportunistic manipulators. It’s just unfortunate that such behavior on one part is absolutely condemned while being a complete non-issue when the face suits the target demographics.
Selective outrage is a favored tool of the hypocritical Democrats and they are all using it. They deserve each other.
